6098 miles from England is ......

Angkor Wat

And a surprise postcard came in the post today! :-)

The description on the card is ...

"Fire in the sky. A magic sunrise in Angkor Wat"

Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia.

contains the magnificent remains of the
different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century.

They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and  at
Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations.

My good blogger  friend Jackie and her husband
are currently on a trip which will eventually take them
to Australia and New Zealand.

Jackie's blog "Junk Boat Travels"  is amazing .. believe me !!
Take a look for yourself.
They travel a lot, so lots to read and see.

BIG THANK YOU to Jackie ♥
