Holiday continued .. still on Day 1 with Barbara......Parc Montsouris

Barbara and I started our day out,
planning to go to Parc Montsouris
but as you know by previous posts we
had a bit of a detour.. here and here !!

We finally got there!

Parc Montsouris is a beautiful rambling parc,
full of birdlife and wonderful trees. and statues.
With Playgrounds ,  Puppet Theatre and a train ride
through the Parc.
Parc Montsouris  is in the 14th arrondissement,
it is styled as an English Garden. Ordained by Napoleon lll and
Baron Haussmann as part of a plan to add green areas to Paris.
Barbara and I had a wonderful day :-)

  10. Hi Anne!
Saw your comment and wanted to have a peek at your blog! At one time in my life - years ago - I worked just beside the Parc Monceau and crossed it every day to go to work! Such a beautiful peaceful little place....

I also lived a while in the 15th arr and in Rueil Malmaison, so Paris still has a special place in my heart.

And yes, I am so lucky to live in the southwest of France....!!!
