Barbara and I started our day out,
planning to go to Parc Montsouris
but as you know by previous posts we
We finally got there!
Parc Montsouris is a beautiful rambling parc,
full of birdlife and wonderful trees. and statues.
With Playgrounds , Puppet Theatre and a train ride
through the Parc.
Parc Montsouris is in the 14th arrondissement,
it is styled as an English Garden. Ordained by Napoleon lll and
it is styled as an English Garden. Ordained by Napoleon lll and
Baron Haussmann as part of a plan to add green areas to Paris.
Barbara and I had a wonderful day :-)
I first saw the Cedar of LEbanon trees at Malmaison, Josephine's home. Have you been there??

ReplyDeleteSaw your comment and wanted to have a peek at your blog! At one time in my life - years ago - I worked just beside the Parc Monceau and crossed it every day to go to work! Such a beautiful peaceful little place....
I also lived a while in the 15th arr and in Rueil Malmaison, so Paris still has a special place in my heart.
And yes, I am so lucky to live in the southwest of France....!!!
