Japanese Kimono-shaped Coasters



These coasters are made of Japanese Washi paper dyed in the Yuzen technique.

KIMONO: The Kimono is the epitome of Japanese Culture.

YUZEN: Yuzen dyeing is a very famous Japanese technique for the Kimono

WASHI: Washi (Japanese paper) is handmade vegetable fibre. It is very strong and age resistant, full of softness and warmth.

    These coaster were given to me by my brother and they belonged to my sister...and I thought how lovely they were...lovely enough to blog about them...might not ever use them, but everyone will see that I have them.
