Chocolate Treat!
Yesterday a friend and I met up in Oxford, not for shopping, just to get together for a chat, and a little look around, but the first stop was Cafe Nero in Blackwells Book shop....such a treat and very warming!!
Leesa - Mine was the big one - Hot chocolate, the other in Hot chocolate Milano :-)
Sally - If I had a Savinos I would go there. Costa coffee not good, well not here, and I don't like the cafes. We have two very good Cafe Neros..excellent service, very pleasant staff, and super chocolate.
Hi Anne, Yummy ! I drink a lot of tea, but always am game for a good cup of hot chocolate. Your's looked heavenly. I hope that you have had a nice cozy Valentine's day. Sending you Love.
Your blog is fantastic and I hope that you won't mind if I follow? My hubby is from South London. We have one kiddo over in Portsmouth and one in Barry, Wales. I loved your picture's.......they reminded me of being there :)
I love Blackwells in Oxford - the way you walk down and look out over that huge room packed with books. I used to spend hours there when I lived in Oxford. Never had a Caffe Nero in my day, though - if it had, with hot chocolates like that, I'd probably never have left!
Thank you to everyone for commenting, it certainly makes my day. A pleasure to see everyone of you. Old and New.. Blogging not only opens up the world but gives us new friends.
That drink would stop me in my tracks no matter where it was!
ReplyDeleteYUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! That looks scrummy!!!
ReplyDeleteI always find the coffee in cafe nero too strong and bitter..i prefer costa coffee or savino's when in cambridge :-)
ReplyDeleteScintilla - It was super, tasty and warming :-)

Sounds like a perfect outing -- chocolate and a bookstore! Great you had a nice time and yummmmm.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is anything better than hot chocolate, unless it's a book store.
ReplyDeleteoooooh....anything with chocolate would be a major treat for me!!
ReplyDeleteI worked for Godiva for a year when I lived in Florida, but Dove is actually my favorite.
Happy Valentines Day, Anne!
Coffee in a bookshop. Browsing over a brew. Chatting with friends. Who wants more than that?

Mmm...That looks delicious Anne.
ReplyDeleteI'm envious as I can't have cream or milk in my drinks as it upsets my digestive system.
Hope you are well,
Di.xx
