Left Handed.

Leslie from The Pedalogue did a post about her little grandson and him being left-handed.

My youngest son is left-handed..I found it so hard with him, never having come across some left-handed before..I was really nervous when he tried to do something, that I thought was so easy..but when you come to think of it, he couldn;t get the jist of what I was trying to show him, and I didn;t understand why he was finding it so hard...!!!!

I never realized they had a Left Handers Day and have had annual celebrations for the last 16 years!!!

Left-Handers' Day 2008 is on Wednesday August 13th.

Catching up with my Blogging Friends.

After being away for the weekend, and then working long hours, I feel like I have neglected my friends. I will hopefully catch up with you all over the next few days. I can imagine that I have lots and lots to read, and hopefully will see some lovely photos.

See you all soon!!!!

Friends and Fun!!

I had a fabulous weekend, which started by me going to stay with my brother Paul. I caught the coach to Cambridge and was met by Paul. He kindly took me out for a birthday meal. We went to a great Noodle Bar...Kymmoys in Mill Road...We had Chicken Satay and Vegetable Spring Rolls, followed by noodle dishes..Singapore Mai Fun and Kymmoy Special Noodles..so tasty!!

The following morning I was meeting Sally. I was going to travel into meet her, but then she had to go on a rescue mission to Geoff at Wimpole Hall...so she picked me up on route...we delivered Geoffs socks, had a coffee and the headed back to Cambridge. We spent the rest of the day perusing around Cambridge shops..having lunch, chatting as we went!! In the evening, we had a lovely bottle of wine, Thanks Geoff, and then Sally treated me to a meal at Bella Pasta.

On Sunday morning I took Sally a cup of tea in bed..taking things easy!!! Then we set off for our walk to The Orchard in Grantchester, where we had tea and scones. The weather was absolutely beautiful, we walked along the edge of the river, where people were picnicing and lazing around...

On Sunday evening we took ourselves off to the cinema for the preview showing of the film The Edge Of Love about Dylan Thomas.Which included a question and answer session live by satellite with the director John Maybury. This film is great and we both really enjoyed it.

We ended our day with a lovely sauna and more girly chat!!! The next morning (Monday) was time for us to head off to our homes!!! but not before Sally treated me to one of her fantastic Massages, such a treat...if any of you get a chance, phone Sally and book one, you will not be disappointed!! Sally walked down to the bus station with me, where we had a cappucino in Savinos and then we both set off for home.

I would just like to say a big thank you to Geoff for making it possible...love staying there..I feel like I am in a hotel..We had a fantastic weekend.

My Birthday Celebrations.

My birthday was yesterday, and my husband was actually home in the UK ..Yippee!!

It was a day full of surprises!! When I got home after being with my friend Sarah for the afternoon..I walked into the kitchen and there on the table was two bunches of flowers, a card and two pressies!!!!!

He had bought me a new Camera, a Exilim ex-z80, it is really great. A new bottle of perfume, Calvin Klein, Eternity Summer , its their new fragrance.

We had a few glasses of a very tasty french wine before we went out to eat. We got a taxi into town and headed for The King Alfred's Head, where we had a very tasty meal. Hubby had steak whilst I had spagetti with clams..yummy. sorry no pictures. Apparently this place use to be a no go pub and then someone new took it over, introduced high class food, lovely seating, lighting etc, no loud music and it became the place to go. In the winter its lovely with a real fire, and candles on the tables. And there are no youngsters in there!!!!

I also got some lovely cards from my friends..and Sally in Norfolk did a special blog post for me, which was a lovely surprise :-)

So it turned out to me a fantastic day, and my boys are coming for lunch on Saturday.

And I found these blooms in my garden this morning!!!!
