A few hours in Oxford ....

Yesterday I took myself off to Oxford..
for a few hours.

Just had to get out of the house,
even though it was freezing , to say the least.

I went down a few lanes I had not been
down before, but knew about,
and found the famous pub

and a cute hidden hotel ...

very friendly receptionist ... I was unable to see
the rooms as they were fully booked, I did ask.

It is surprising what you see when you look up!!

  1. It's so easy to stay inside and remain cozy on these frigid days, but I never regret when I bundle up and head out for a stroll. I like your suggestion of looking up--when you're not under an umbrella that is!

  3. I am amazed there are any places left in Oxford that you have not seen. How about getting a job as a tourist guide in Oxford, you said you were looking for a job, or start your own small business advertising on the web? You would be brilliant at it. Have a good week Diane oxo

  4. I agree with the above comment - it is amazing that you are still finding new places in Oxford. I don't like this bitterly cold weather at all. It's been colder than ever today.

  5. I should do the same here in Vancouver - I seldom go there anymore!

  6. I know! I found the same thing applied in Zurich :-)

Oh, how I wish I could come visit and walk around Oxford with you!
