South Western France. And about One and half hours
from Cadrieu , where I was staying.
There are markets all over France as
we know, and they all have a their own
But I never could of imagined this market
with the Cathedral looming over it ,
in all its glory.
The market was buzzing!!
It is amazing that they have this market
twice a week, .. so many fantastic choices,
where do you start??
I didn't get a chance to see more of Cahors,
but what I did see, I was very pleased
with, and I would definitely go back.
I do have more photos of Cahors and the
Cathedral to post ..
What's on this huge frying pan?
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous cathedral, and the markets look fantastic full of lots of goodies.
ReplyDeleteThey are so lucky to have a market like this twice a week. We have a mini one twice weekly, then a large one once a month. If I travel further a field there are many around us though.
ReplyDeleteThis looks a beautiful spot, looking forward to seeing photos of the cathedral.
Hope you are feeling better. Diane
We have never been to that market, our Sunday market is excellent but I think we might head up to Cahors next Wednesday to check it out.
ReplyDeletePaella? Spanish influence here?
ReplyDeleteLooks exhilarating, especially in weather like that!
I just love markets like that and Cahors is a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteAGAIN! GORGEOUS!!! Wow. I am sorry you are not feeling well. You must have a full house, I assume. I hope you are being well looked after and that the gloom has passed. That daisy picture was a bright cheery pick me up for sure. Hoping you are better...Jenny
ReplyDeleteI really miss French markets. Here in Italy the food markets don't compare. I lived in France for a year and I loved my weekly trips to the market to do my shopping.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Grado is a lovely place and I'm sure you'll have a lovely time visiting there. The food is amazing too - lots of seafood.
Hope you're having a good half term holiday.

that market looks fantastic :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky. No wonder you would go back!
ReplyDeleteBonjour Anne,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous market! I've never been to Cahors but have read a book about an Australian lady who owns a little house near to there.
Looks gorgeous.

If I made it to that market, I would never leave. So jealous that you are close enough to zip across the Channel to visit France the way I drive over to New York to pick up my daughter from college.
ReplyDeleteOnce again I love your market mosaics!
