Leesa and Barbara
We decided to venture a little bit further afield to
Parc Buttes Chaumont, a fabulous parc , it is wonderful to walk around, up and down too
I think that you can click on the photos and enlarge them .
The Parc is is situated in the
19th arrondissement at the Rue Botzaris
and has two metro entrances, Botzaris and Buttes Chaumont.
A brilliant day out.. Thank you to my friends!
It looks a lovely place Anne and I love your mosaics.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda thank you so much.. and yes it is a lovely place to go .. :-) and so good for the locals to take a break in too!
ReplyDeleteYou know it becomes more and more apparent to me that I completely wasted some beautiful opportunities the two summers I spent in Paris and not once did I linger in this gorgeous park. Yet another among many reasons to return. thank you Anne for the fantastic pics and it certainly looks like this May holiday was a great one.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of a lovely lovely place, Anne. Have a wonderful weekend! xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Anne...
ReplyDeleteGREAT shots and I LOVE the photo collages!!
Hey... such a beautiful park, right?!! Wish it was sooo far up in Paris-- takes FOREVER to get to by metro for me down here in Antony-- but worth the trip...
I love that place Rosa Bonheur.. We'll have to go back when you come back...
Can't believe it was that cold (for me to have on my down coat)...
Take care,
Leese
A beautiful parc...what a brilliant day, too! Although it does appear to be rather cold.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely pics Anne - I went to the vineyards behind Montmatre- but I think I must have missed this beautiful Park - must go back!
ReplyDeleteDianne xx
Did you know that it used to be an old stone quarry? That's why it has all of those hills and dips. I think they did a great job of making a park out of it.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog Anne. I have an award waiting for you over here: http://justanaussiegirl.blogspot.com/2010/07/in-pink.html
ReplyDeleteHow far is this from Paris Anne?
ReplyDeleteI am counting days till we go to Paris in October :-)
I am jealous and I am dreaming to be there too :) Happy week ahead Anne. Am going to Vietnam this Friday but I read there's a nasty storm brewing there...so fingers and toes crossed..it's over when I am there..

I love the Parc des Buttes Chaumont! You can just get lost wandering around the paths. :) Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteFab pics as always. x
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, there it is! :) Catching up on a bit of back reading on your blog and I came across this post. I'm so glad you had a chance to visit here.
ReplyDeleteI just noted the night before last that the tree in the third photo/the first photo collage is slated to be cut down (it's marked with orange pain and it is obvious it is diseased as most of the branches are now brown and dead). It's the weirdest tree, too! I'm so sorry it is to be no more, but you have a great picture of it!
