Duke of York monument from the Mall
I continued walking where I came upon

Hi Anne,
ReplyDeleteYou see how we stumble upon places whilst traveling?! I love that in travel.
It almost reads like a History lesson and I realize that I don't know much about British History.Though I do recognize Florence Nightingale :)
Hugs xo
Unexpected surprises are always the best.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great tour Anne! The statue that stands over the war memorial and behind Florance N. is so BEAUTIFUL especially.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your husband hear some good Motown today!

ANNE! THis is extraordinary! Well at least it is to me, you see on my very first solo European trip way back in 2001 I was in London and purposely visited the National Gallery and Trafalgar Square and then something led me downthis exact walk you took to the Household Cavalry Guard Museum. I remember it was all so lovely and wonderful, as if only I had discovered this path (I know, silly me) thank you for taking us along this trip.
