Have you ever been TAGGED..I have now...

by My Melange..who I feel has become one of my good blogging friends. I really don;t know what I am meant to do...but here goes..

What I was doing 10 years ago: Living in Wales. Working for the Post Office at Raf St Athan.
Five things on my to-do list today:
Sort my bag out!!!
Do my washing.
Catch up with all my emails
Catch up with all my blogging friends
Sort out Easter arrangements

Snacks I enjoy:
Olives, Dippers and Salsa, Cheese and Crackers and Pickled Onions.

Things I would you do if I was a Billionaire:
That is so easy...Jump for Joy. Ask my husband to give up his job...well if he wanted too. I would give some money to a charity I used to work for....The MND Association..known as ALS in America. I would help my two boys and my family and my friends ..Move to Italy. Only trouble is I wouldn;t know which part to go to!! Sure that wouldn't be a problem could buy two or three homes. I would then travel round Europe and buy gorgeous items to decorate our new home. Have all my friends come to stay with me. Travel to all the Grandprixs in style!!!!

Three of my bad habits:

Stop thinking...more doing.
Worrying
Trying to give advice!

Five places I have lived:

Holland - when I was very young. Father was in the Royal Air Force
Singapore - when my father was in the Royal Air Force
Germany - When my ex-husband was in the Royal Air Force
Wales - When my husband was in the Royal Air Force
Oxfordshire - Husband working for Williams F1 - Williams Grand Prix Engineering.

Five jobs I have had:

Helped run the cafe in the Community Centre at Raf St Athan.
Ran the Post Office at Raf St Athan
Card Shop in Daventry Northamptonshire
Worked for the MND Association in Northampton on the Fundraising team.
Hostess for RBS Williams F1 Conference Centre.

and finally...five people who I would like to tag.

1 Sally in Norfolk because she always up to things, very interesting things.
2. Welshcakes Limoncello..she would be up for fun!!
3. Bleeding Expresso....I have been reading her blog for quite a while and love it.
4. Lucillian Delights..her blog is great and would like to know more.
5. A Tuscan View - from Umbria - would like to get to know them better.

I hope you take time to visit all the sites I have added a link too..they are great!!!!

Formula 1 - Australian Grand Prix -16th March 2008

Some of you may know that I am a formula 1 fan. I support AT&T Williams, I also work for them in the RBS Conference Centre. My husband works for the Team as well..keep it in the family.

Today was the first race of the season, and as mad as I am, I got up at 03.30am this morning to watch...how pleased am I that I did, to see one of our drivers on the podium. Its been a long time coming. The race was 58 laps and very very eventful, only 7 drivers finished out of 22. By about 12 laps from the end, I just couldn;t watch...well I did, but not easily..when it got down to 2 laps I was like a mad woman!!!!

Forget Lewis Hamilton..this is the man of the race...Nico Rosberg.

Nico Rosberg couldn’t hide his delight after scoring his first Formula 1 podium in the season-opener in Melbourne.

The German driver gave Williams just its second podium finish since 2005 with a strong drive to third place, confirming the progress the team has made over the winter.

And two years on from his F1 debut, Rosberg was thrilled to finally make the top three.

“I am really happy to be on the podium in F1 – it’s just great,” he said.

We musn't forget our other drive Kazuki Nakajima, who also finished in the points after quite an eventful race.

What a fantastic day and a brilliant start to our season!!!!

The Book - Petite Anglaise.

Well I have read the book, and found it rather fasinating. I felt as though I really knew these people. Now without giving much away, wouldn;t like to spoil it for others, who are about to read it, or trying not to upset Catherine, I really felt for Mr Frog. I understand Catherines emotions and what she was going through at the time, can understand why they did split up. I think they both just lost their way and their path became divided. She couldn;t understand why he didn;t see or feel their problems, or maybe he did and just couldn;t or didn;t want to talk about what was troubling him. So when she did meet the next man (James) who gave her all his attention and made her feel like a woman again, she fell for him in a big way. Personally I don;t think she did love him, maybe I am wrong, I think she loved the attention, making her feel good, the excitement of going away with him, all the things that go with a love affair. All the feelings that had been lost with Mr Frog.

I am not going to tell you anymore....you will have to buy the book. It would be interesting to read what you all think.

I feel as though there should be a follow on book...Hope so.

Venice

Has anyone been to Venice lately. My son and his wife have just come back today, and they say it was the most expensive place they have ever been.

They said that it was really beautiful, they went to Piazza San Marco known as Saint Marks Square in English, and to the Cathedral but after that they were sort of lost with things to do...I do know that they walked and walked for miles :-. They had wanted to go on a gondola but it was going to cost around 110 pounds. I have just found this link and so it really does pay to do a lot of research before you go holiday.

Another thing they told me was they went out for a walk and decided to stop for a cup of tea, and that cost them 11 euro..that is around 8 or 9 pounds!!!! Hey whats that all about.

I do remember reading that someone from my blogroll went, but I can;t remember who??

Please do post a comment if you have been there or come from there.

Just wanted to add they are really pleased they went, but might not be doing it again, I think they have Florence in mind.
