Very early days, but where would you go on holiday if you could only go in November.
I have been to Barcelona, Sicily and Lake Como. I have found a lovely place in Ostuni Puglia..I have no idea what its like, only from pictures and no idea what the weather is like there. The lady who lets the apartment out says some years have been sunny and some rainy!!!
Any ideas..if so please leave them for me in a comment. Thank You.
Well there is definitely australia and New Zealand. Your fall is their spring i believe. I've never been but that's definitely where I'd want to go in November.
ReplyDeleteEasy - Sicily!
ReplyDeleteWell, one place I would NOT recommend is here - Canada! Snow everywhere except in Vancouver where we get it in liquid form.
ReplyDeleteBut southern Italy does sound nice. That's when I was in Sicily - first 2 weeks of November! Very nice then. Or...maybe Egypt to see the pyramids.
Beautiful header, Anne. Lovely blog to visit.
ReplyDeleteWe had a lovely holiday in Malta. It was November;the weather was beautiful. Maybe 70F ish. Valetta is a beautiful city. It did get dark very early but that would be the case most places at that time. The Canaries are always an option.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone , thanks for your great suggestions.
ReplyDeleteCorine, don;t think husband would want to travel far, as his job requires to him to travel as far as Australia. WL now theres a thought..Leslie, Your right not Canada, well not in the winter!!
Hi Marymary, thanks for calling in..funny you should mention Malta, my fathers family are from Malta, unfortunately no one left to visit..
Hi Edwin Higham - thanks for the compliment.
How about a med island such as Cyprus, Corfu or, as WL says, Sicily? Not likely to be super-hot but not cold either!
ReplyDeleteIn terms of Europe, I'd be quite interested to visit Copenhagan, but it will be way too cold in November I think..
ReplyDeleteWhat about Greece? Japan? Vietnam? Cuba via Canada lol?
Hi le tigre...thanks for calling in again!! I still think Italy is calling me :-)
ReplyDeleteFrance is usually nice in November.
ReplyDeleteParis, Paris, Paris, Paris, Paris, Paris,Paris.
ReplyDeleteHmm, How about Paris???????
What do you think about Paris?
Have you ever thought of Paris?
I have left a few subtle suggstions for you Anne :)
what about back to Italy? say - the Veneto area? Padova, Verona, Vicenza, Arqua Petrarca - and all the lovely little villages in the Euganean Hills. There are beautiful villas everywhere in the countryside and being Italy all kinds of history. Could be relaxing, not-so-touristy trip =)
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, My melange and texas espresso...brilliant ideas...I really want to go to Paris :-) and I really feel Italy is calling me again :-)...now all I have to do is decide!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne
ReplyDeleteSince your heart is set on Italy (and who can blame you)I would definitely visit the south, esp. since you'll be travelling in November. Northern Italy can be quite dreary that time of the year. I'd definitely go to Sicily - loads of beautiful, historic places and the food....
Hi Linda
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting again...Did Sicily in 2006, and last year we went to Lake Como which is in the north of Italy and the weather was beautiful...maybe just a fluke..
