Women.............

have strengths that amaze men.
They carry children,they carry hardships,
They carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and
laugh when they are nervous.
They bring joy and hope.
They have compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
However if there's one flaw in women, it is that they tend to forget
their worth.

  1. Beautifully said Anne.

We are taught to be polite and self effacing and I'm not sure as to how well it serves us.

  3. This is profound. That's why I like Hillary Clinton in the USA - she's worked extremely hard all her life for her country and it bugs me when people say she's "not feminine" or that she's "a bitch" etc. She knows her worth and is trying to use her experienc, talents and abilities to the betterment of her country. I hope she wins the nomination. OH! and I'm Canadian, you know, so I have no say in it at all. lol

  4. Hi Leslie, well when I put this on here, I wasn't actually thinking of women like Hillary Clinton, I was thinking of women like myself and my friend Sally, and lots of my other friends. I'm sure a lot of us can relate to it.

  5. I think most women don't realize their value and strength. I didn't until past middle age. It takes a while, I think.

  7. Thank you to you all for the comments.

Hello Corine, we spend so much time looking after others needs we forget about ourselves, and then when we have time for ourselves, we don;t know what to do, we are lost!!

Sally I think it was written with both of us in mind!! :-)

I have got better with age, but think there is room for improvement.

Linda I would like to know what you mean by middle age???

Rochambeau, thanks for visiting my blog...will be over to see you again soon.

  8. Very well said. A few of us have been discussing self-worth on our blogs. It must be the reflective, thoughtful time of year. A time to sort out our homes and out straight our minds so that we will get the best out of the year - maybe?
