UPDATE - On my "Thistle" - Thanks Diane ..

Thanks to my great friend
for the info .......
My "Thistle"
an Artichoke !
According to Diane , it looks like it to her ,and after googling
it certainly looks like it .. have a look a the link above.
You can eat before the bud blooms and then it becomes bitter and  inedible .

Must tell my friend's mum ,, it is her plant.

  1. Hi Anne. I've just come in on my laptop to look at the dancing video, and it has come up as saying that "this page does not exist"! I'm obviously destined not to see it!!

  2. I am glad that you have sorted out the giant thistle, ha ha. Take care Diane oxo

  3. I do love artichokes but do not think that I have actually seen one on the plant... beautiful colors!

  4. Hi Anne,
    How are you, my dear?
You have been doing some brilliant work with these plants. I am horrible in naming most plants.
I would rather just photograph them!
    Well done, hon.

  5. I didn't know artichokes flowered like that but I suppose it makes sense. Not a big fan of them to eat but very pretty.

  6. I had the same problem as thisisme.

    Gosh, that's a big artichoke!

  7. Well done Diane, I should have realised we grew them in Italy as well!

  8. HI Anne what ever you did it worked!
You have good looking artichokes lol. I never would have known what they were xx
