is a fabulous shop in the 3rd arrondissement ..The store is located at 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais, Métro: Saint-Sebastian Froissart, Line 8. I read about this fab shop a few weeks before my first trip to Paris, and I thought it was in the Marais area, tried to find it back then , so this time I went hunting.
The shop has a little cafe on the front, where you can sit and read, or purchase a second hand book from them , a restaurant is also available for you..
I am so pleased I went to find it, as it made me go into another area not walked, more photos to follow!!
oh, I've wanted to visit this shop since I read about it in one of my favorite design blogs a while back: http://housemartin.typepad.com/housemartin/2009/05/merci.html
ReplyDeleteThey donate all their profits to charity too! It's SSOOO cute too :)
What a great shop! I love your photos! I will definitely have to visit.
ReplyDeleteOh... I'm glad to see the pics! I'm sooo glad that you found that shop! I was wrecked that I couldn't find it online!! Good work... Love the pics!
ReplyDeleteSomething different for me Anne and I like it too, happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteBonjour Anne,
ReplyDeleteNow I missed this one ! I may go back to see all this. I love little shops and this looks delish.
Maybe one day in the future ( that I hope is not too faraway), we could visit it "entre amies" or between friends.
XXOO
Anne, this shop is very much like a shop I used to frequent in Hamburg called Cucinaria. You brought back wonderful memories for me. It was located in a fabulous loft/ old factory space.
ReplyDeleteTraveling to different places can be such an eye opener, can't it! It is always inspirational.
Merci is on my list of places to see too. I'm looking forward to visiting it.
ReplyDeleteJust a warning to Barbara -- it is in no way a "little" shop!! It's massive, over two or three floors .. .it's really quite something. I forget the exact story, but it was founded by the lady who created the chic French children's clothing shops Bonpoint (the lady also happens to be the sister of the late Annick Goutal). So they are able to put any profits back to charity. It's a pretty wild place and Anne's photos show it to perfection!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are posting about these wonderful places in Paris. I'll keep you in mind next time I go!
ReplyDeletethat sounds like my kind of shop...thanks for sharing this! Lovely photos too! Have a great day!
