HELLO ....

well what a time I have had since being
back from Paris .... !! (post to follow) and
a huge thank you to my fab friends there :-)

Not a super duper start to the summer ..
BUT a cracking start ..... ha ha ha ...

I have broken my ankle in 3 places ..
I know that lots of you who follow me on Facebook
know already.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR
WONDERFUL  MESSAGES ..
they mean so much to me.

It has absolutely floored me  .. I was in hospital for
over a week .. had the op , went to my eldest sons
for a few days now home.

I am not in much pain at all (not at the moment) but
pyschologically it has hit me hard .. I feel like my freedom
has been taken from me .. NO work , no cycling, No walking
and soooo reliant on someone else .. !!

The one saving grace is that I am on the mend ..
I am not ill .. I will recover .. and I just need to get
my mind sorted.  I look around and the house
is in such a mess .. (SO WHAT)!!  But Lying here
with my leg up .. is hard..

I cannot sit at my PC for too
long either..so my photo editing is going to have to wait.
And no matter how many times I try I cannot get Picassa (?) to
work on my laptop (or on my PC either).

I think I am being taught a lesson......

PATIENCE!!

  5. Oh, Anne. That's awful. I hope you heal quickly. When I tore my ACL, had surgery and went through months of physical therapy, I remember thinking how grateful I would be to be able to walk and run again. Now, I take it for granted again. Your injury will remind me to be grateful for my mobility.

  6. OH, Anne! I am so sorry, I had no idea. I rarely check anything on facebook (actually considering closing out that account) but I am sorry now that I didn't check in before. I will be praying for a quick and thorough recovery...last year my hubby broke two toes and it put a stop to him too and he said those very same things you did. I hope you had a nice chance to vacation before your mobility was affected. I hope you feel better and Mimi is right, you have a good outlook on it all. Blessings to you.

  7. Hi Anne. I am so sorry that I have not commented on your recent posts, but they have not shown up on my blog roll. I find that this happens sometimes, and it is really annoying. I manually clicked on your comment from my post today ( it was lovely to see you over there again by the way!) and now notice that you have a couple of posts up. What a bummer it was about your ankle, but I was so pleased to hear that you are not in any pain at the moment :) Take it easy and I will now go and look at the other posts!
