Great day out with the Gals in Parc de Sceaux .....

Back in May of this year,
we all met up for the afternoon at

Dawn, Leesa, Barbara and Jennifer

We had a lot of fun, and the day
brought two of my
friends together,
Barbara and Jennifer.

I think I am right in
that Dawn and Jennifer
had met before.
(forgive me if I am wrong).

Parc de Sceaux is located
in the southern
suburbs, 9.7 km (6miles) from the
centre of Paris.. served by the
RER line B.

UPDATE :- I was wrong!!
This was the first time
Jennifer had met Dawn too!!

How wonderful that I
brought them altogether.!

This includes Leesa, as I was the
first one to meet Jennifer.!

A Big Thank you - two wonderful friends..........Rosa and Lucy

How blessed I am to have wonderful friends,
not just in the UK
all over the world!!
Yesterday I had two surprises
in the post...
My first huge surprise came from my
lovely friend Rosa (Scintilla) who spends her
time between

A fabulous book and postcard...
I was amazed and very happy.

Rosa knows I have a love for Italy,
so this is such a wonderful gift.

Her blog Bell'Avventura is full
of wonderful photos of Positano
and the Amalfi Coast.

Not just photos, but lots to read too!

I love reading and seeing the beautiful sights
of any part of Italy, but especially Positiano!!

Go on .. have a look, you will not be disappointed,
you will want to book a trip!

Rosa and I have been following each others blogs
for quite a while, also connected through Facebook
and are really good friends.

Even though we have never met.
I hope we do one day.

The second was from my great friend
Lucy from Pickering, Ontario.
Lucy and I have never met either,
but connect through blogging and Facebook
and have spoken on the phone.
Such a shame I never got to
see her on my trip to Montreal,
too far away for my short trip.

A beautiful card of Algonquin Park, Ontario.

Lucy has a wonderful blog,

On my way 2 work and Other Stuff,

with fantastic photos of Sunrises/Sunsets,

places of interest, her family and lots more!

I hope you get a chance to visit her too!

Big Thank you to you both ♥♥

A postcard just at the right time - Thank You Leesa !!

Paris is a place I love to be.

A place where I have lots of
great friends.

A place where we meet up and go for
a petit cafe ou verre de vin
and a chat !!!!!

I was missing Paris today as
my youngest son and his girlfriend
went today for a 5 day trip, and
at the weekend we had the books
out and the maps.

And look what came through my letterbox today!!

A lovely postcard from Paris ... sent by my great friend

It was like it was meant to be for this day ♥

Square Jean XXIII - Paris

After Barbara and I
had walked around
we took a stroll round to

The Square Jean XXIII is situated on the southern and eastern sides of the cathederal Notre Dame, on the river side as well as behind it. The Square was named in honour of Pope John XXIII, who was pope from 1958 - 1963.

There are shaded benches which make it a great place to take in the views and maybe have picnic!
We had a break and
then went off to meet
Brigitte ! This was the first
time for me, so very exciting!
And I know that Brigitte and Barbara
had not seen each other in a long
time, so lots of chatting to do!!

Two wonderful friends ......

Bank Holiday Monday
3rd May 2010
St Pancras Station
on OUR way

Leesa and Barbara had
just spent the weekend with
myself and Arni. We all
throughly enjoyed the time together,
and Arni got to meet my friends.

They wanted to see

the delights of OXFORD!

Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us!

But the GALS had lots of FUN together!!

More fun was yet to come
as I was
going with them to PARIS
and staying with
Leesa and Alex. ♥♥

I got my posts mixed up...this was meant to be the first of the Paris trip , never mind.

Do you like the little clothes line divider..? Hope so, this and more were

designed by Noor .. So Sweet Designs, the lovely lady who did my

header for me ♥

A little bit of Paris .. Notre Dame de Paris

My lovely friend Barbara and I met up
for the day,
to do a bit of sightseeing, we
decided to go to Notre Dame, which
I had seen from the outside
but never had time to go
in before. Barbara had not been for
a long long time,
so a perfect choice!!

We had also thought about going up for a
walk around the Bell Tower
but is was very windy and not
all that warm!

A lovely way to spend time with Barbara ..

A time for Reflection.

Another market in London ........

Partridges - Duke of York Square

This was our ( Leesa and I) last day in London, before coming to Oxford. We had until the afternoon to sightsee, before going to St Pancras to meet Barbara. Who was also coming to my house for two days. We had a great time except the weather was not good to us on the day we went into Oxford, very very cold. Hopefully there will be another chance for them to come back.

Slowly but surely I am getting through my photos!
